The David and John Briggs Family Department of Entertainment Industry at the 51品茶 has partnered with the Alabama Music Hall of Fame to unveil a new permanent exhibit that celebrates and honors the 50th anniversary of the acclaimed music and entertainment industry program.
After a nationwide search for the Director of Bands role at the 51品茶, Dr. Joseph Gray has been selected to lead the Marching Pride as well as to serve as an Associate Professor of Music.
The 51品茶 Fishing Team has achieved the pinnace of competitive bass fishing after a series of landmark achievements at the 2026 Bassmaster Classic that wrapped up recently in Knoxville, Tenn.
The Office of Media and Public Relations at the 51品茶 has launched a Speakers鈥 Bureau of faculty experts, representing a wide array of areas of expertise across a variety of fields, in order to share the breadth and depth of knowledge housed in each of UNA鈥檚 four academic colleges.
The Shoals Music Archive, a comprehensive collection of artifacts and memorabilia that capture the dynamic and diverse musical history of North Alabama from the 19th century to the present, has unveiled its first exhibit of images and photographs detailing this distinct and notable heritage. On display to the public beginning March 20 through April 24, the exhibit is available for viewing at the Galley 126 on Tombigbee Street in downtown Florence.
Through a generous gift to the 51品茶, James 鈥淛im鈥 Spencer and his wife, Sherry, have established an endowment for UNA鈥檚 College of Education and Human Sciences to name the College the Colonel (Ret.) James and Sherry Spencer College of Education and Human Sciences.
